Position: Research Associate

We are seeking a smart and ambitious research associate to support our growing executive search teams in Beijing and Shanghai. The successful candidate will work as an integral member of our executive search department and support Ginkgo Search Partners in hiring exceptional leaders by designing innovative talent sourcing strategies, identifying and approaching qualified candidates, conducting market mappings and thinking outside the box to reinvent the way we identify top talent.

• Develop creative sourcing and recruiting resources to expand talent portfolio and attract qualified candidates 
• Conduct phone interviews with candidates and prepare client reports
• Work closely with an experienced Executive Search Consultant to understand the requirements for each open position and contribute to the development of new search strategies
• Develop research best practices and identify and/or design new search methodologies and tools
• Manage all phases of research projects including developing a project plan and providing research expertise
• Enter and update information provided by the candidate into the database
• Arrange suitable candidates to be interviewed by Executive Search Consultants
• Assist Senior Associates and candidates in the entire recruiting process
• Support business development initiatives and start building your own client base
• Execute title and organizational mapping of target companies as assigned
• Provide general administrative support

• Bachelor’s degree required
• A minimum of 1-2 years professional work experience
• Experience in an executive search firm or staffing agency prefered
• Excellent communication skills and being comfortable reaching out to new people
• Creativity in using a variety of research tools combined with a systematic organized approach to executive search assignments
• Great aptitude for internet research and keen attention to detail
• Team player with a sense of urgency and vested interest in the outcome
• Proven ability to take initiative and effectively prioritize projects in a fast paced environment
• Working with a sense of urgency to meet client deadlines
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive data with judgment and discretion
• Strong computer skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases)
• Fluent in English and Chinese, additional language skills are a plus
• Proactive, curious, detail oriented
